I saw this yesterday driving to Costco and though it was one of the best stickers I've ever seen.

Bumper sticker on the back of a car that shows a gear shift pattern and reads: Equipped with Millennial Anti-Theft Device.

Early on, Tesla realized the importance of a charging infrastructure and therefore has the most chargers out there. That gave them the edge to simplified the electronics of the plug, making it more compact and efficient. Going through this transition will be painful but better in the end.

While it's not #FSD and it's got a long way to go, they have made a lot of progress. Here you can see it going around some debris on the highway. In the 2nd clip, it waits a second longer at a Stop for the bicyclist, then slows, calculating when it will be safe to go around a parked truck.

I looked through that list in the article and it doesn't feel like a major leap even though there are some useful features (e.g., U-Turns). Version number can be somewhat subjective and artificial anyway.

I've suspected all along there is a different version of FSD being used in its #Robotaxis from what's publicly available. Either a new level of beta testing or shows they are more interested in autonomy than building great cars. For all we know, there are still humans driving in the background.

"The use of safety monitors, while clearly necessary, contradicts a promise Musk made to analysts and investors in January. "Teslas will be in the wild, with no one in them, in June." Proves these investors are playing a whole other game from the rest of us. www.muskwatch.com/p/the-week-i...

Tesla just can't seem to do anything right these days.

Plug In America’s just released their fifth annual EV driver survey, its largest to date. This particular survey includes responses from over 6,000 respondents, with over 5,300 being EV drivers. youtu.be/wnpqsA61vdk?...

Tesla Superchargers were packed in Quartzite, Arizona yesterday. I guess the holiday encouraged folks to get on the road. Good mix of Mustangs and other non-Teslas, including a Hummer. Even the Rivian chargers across the street from the Jerky store were busy.

Agreed. Unfortunately, that's sort of an understatement these days. They aren't even trying to pretend it's not all about power and money.

I sort of get not wanting to make progress (innovation is hard) but I don't understand rolling back real progress that has proven (re: data) to support it. I will never understand this.

Pretty much everything out of Tesla is disingenuous. Saying they don't want to release this data because competitors would have the ability to asses proprietary information from Tesla is a little too convenient. Their crisis management firm must be working overtime.
