As I think we've discussed before, they might have been able to smooth out the deleveraging at the very long end, but there's not much they could have done to stop the moves at the five and two year points which were the real political toxin

I'm seeing a lot of people on LinkedIn and local Facebook who are feeling really distressed and upset because they feel like the flag graffiti is aimed at intimidating them (despite in many cases being proud British citizens with normal fondness for the flag). This isn't just Discourse.

The LDI corner case seems to me like a great example of a risk that should be dealt with in this way rather than making everyone hold capital against the possibility that someone will kick over the institutional framework.

I think he's just missing out the interim stage where they lobby for deregulation. Although if a stablecoin can't cover its operating expenses from its interest income (something which did happen to a lot of MMFs) it's not clear what mechanism there is to gracefully wind up.
