How so? Do you differentiate between a nanny and an au pair? When we had twins we got a nanny, her full time salary was cheaper than 3 kids in childcare and the flexibility is even better. No mad rush to collect kids on the way home from work. Sometimes its a purely economic decision

I have an old Kindle that I am planning on replacing with a newer model. If you are in the UK I would happily send it to you gratis. It works fine, has a small scratch on the screen but it doesn't impede reading. It's a 6th generation kindle paperwhite which Google tells me is now 11 years old.

it does have a very logical reason.basic economics teaches us about supply and demand. Limited supply means the price will go up as demand increases. Of course there was a risk that it would not see an increase in demand. Back in 2013 the cost was so low that the risk was negligible.1/2
