So the same crew that blindly follows slick salesmen types in shiny mega churches every Sunday morning also swallows Trump’s false charm and charisma? He’s just another self-enriching evangelist selling a different product…or is it even different? The “Follow and do not ask” model fits like a glove
E is me (@ehansen.io) reply parent
That where I find the charm in it — I don’t ask much from horror aside some story and maybe a novel way to scare me (that isn’t just jump scares or torture porn)…sometimes it’s the humor when a movie goes super overboard with an idea or scene (that would kill other movies) it makes the movie for me
E is me (@ehansen.io) reply parent
Like I was hinting, some of my best watches have been the stinkers, for their own reasons…like maybe a so so movie with the creepiest scene I’ve ever seen…but finding one that is both an excellent film and takes the genre seriously, it’s super special. I’ll also usually stick it out with bad horror

I have to admit, I was always glad having grown up in Boston that Red Lobster was not where anyone went or had to go, ever, but I have heard so much about those damned biscuits that I am dying to see how they stack up to the hype
E is me (@ehansen.io)
Oh wow #FrightClub scratches an itch I desperately needed scratched that I didn’t even know I had. Im a sorta recent convert to the genre, and I’ve suffered through tons of 🤮 in a genre with an extra healthy proportion of it, maybe sometimes that’s its charm, but excellent horror is rare &worth gold

November 2028 the GOP will have all sorts of changes of heart on unitary executive theory and probably have tons of legislation ready to pass through their freshly gerrymandered House should they lose the WH. That would be SO Republican to find their consciences just as turnabout -> fair play.
E is me (@ehansen.io)
When Trump posts that he will sign an executive order to require voter ID in all 50 states, which I KNOW HE KNOWS would be meaningless, it tells me that he believes his supporters are true idiot f*cking sheep who believe anything he says. Do they not see this either?
E is me (@ehansen.io)
Oh man, he died? How am I just now learning this? I got the next round.

Why do they blame the “woke liberal” courts when they block Trump’s EO’s over things clearly outside his jurisdiction in direct conflict with the constitution itself. They don’t deal in logic. They deal in anger and grievance and whipped up fervor…and they LOVE the taste of Trump in their mouths.

You know that guy you present with a problem who always seems to matter of factly have a solution that demonstrates no understanding of the problem, the solution or the universe it resides in, and ends it with “Simple. Next?” He’s now our president. And half the class thinks he’s brilliant.

Jeremy Banks killed Michelle O’Connor…that’s my opinion. He was quite clearly saved by a very thick blue line. You can hear it in his 911 call, but more than that, it’s not just the sheriff’s defense of the deputy, but his odd defensiveness and obstinance against missed facts, a grand jury…

Those things go slow and usually overheat before legislatures consider it worth the energy and time. A mayoral executive order is quick and easy…but the scope is too narrow; it right, state level law is definitely the right way to go. I’m sure it is in the works at various stages in Dem states 🤞🙏🏼😳

This has been so obvious from the very beginning, it struck me as so obviously un-American (as someone with half a century of experience with who this country used to be)…the country we once were, we should still be, and we need to get back to being, would never have store for this for one day.

I’m very worried about the eagerness of the red states to send their national guard troops to blue states, while blue states refuse to send them, that we’re creating red and blue national guard sides. This is scary. They are being used overtly politically depriving us of resources elsewhere

Agile has good ideas and some decent process models but if you don’t trim it to your specific organizations workflow, you can spend a lot of time doing things like generating sprint retrospectives that we’d struggle to get down on paper and then never generate action items or get referred to again.

Nothing like the same meeting every single day where everyone talks nuts and bolts about their work that no one else has sufficient context for. Tolerable when we’d get through it in 20 minutes, maybe, but would so often get ratholed by one or two people, keeping everyone hostage.

The absolute lack of compassion for anyone but themselves in the modern Republican Party is so far into gross it’s immoral. And they’re ok with that. Are they?
E is me (@ehansen.io) reply parent
I also seem to spend an awful lot more time in meetings with Agile/Scrum than I did before…a lot of times it feels process for process’s sake, particularly with elements of Agile that aren’t really used in your organization but aren’t trimmed from the process.
