Untamed twt got like this and i retreated into my extreme rarepair and eventually stopped writing and i stopped posting at all about IWTV with no plans to change that now
as soon as a fandom gets to the point where posting anything at all will have a good portion of people assigning you to A Side in some kind of grudge or ship war you didn't even know existed, i am so out of there i will just enjoy what i enjoy with myself or trusted friends, i am too old for that

i haven't done it in a long time but i LOVED reading fic in a fandom I had no experience with. it's so freeing to just read about some hot people being sexy in Situations without any notion of how consistent it might be with canon it happened a lot more when anime was difficult & expensive to access

writing goal accomplished, feeling good about it, and it's the villain being a villain
worldbuilding is there in the mechanics and other artistic choices, but it's very subtle to avoid spoiling the story. i think whether it works is going to based a lot on personal taste. it's my preference, in general, so i love it but not everyone will.
it has an unusally minimalistic storytelling style (at least for RPG's) in the sense that it communicates what is needed to understand the core of the story, the emotional impact of the story, and its themes, and everything beyond that is made optional or not developed

Finished book 1 of Captive Prince more quickly than I've read a book in a long time it is a pretty easy read and not as long as some of the books I've read/started this year, but it's also just so much fun to read
