That press conference felt so much like any dinner out growing up, where everyone at the table had to take their turn thanking my narcissistic parent for paying for the meal. If they could have set up a presser to have everyone elaborately praise them for mundane kindnesses, they would have.

Ugh. I just had to switch to a pill organizer to make sure I wasn't missing or taking pills twice. And I'm still forgetting (important) meds as I'm filling it.
I fought for a month to get the medication brand with ingredients I'm not allergic to. I got it on Thursday. It doesn't work, and I feel awful. The one that was ulcerating my mouth/skin that Medicaid insisted I try first, it worked like a charm (other than causing superfluous holes in my body).
My friend teaches music online. It is through her experiences that I have seen so much entitled, shitty behavior. It is mind-boggling to me that rich people act this way w/o any self-reflection. #1 - Everyone has alarms on their phone. Set it. She shouldn't have to text you every lesson to show up.

I'm so glad I was offered a survey on why I paid for a productivity suite so I could say: Because your bullshit subscription model made it so that I was completely unable to access any of my past files. You held them for ransom, so I had to pay because I needed access to them.
It took me just under a week to find Room 46 in Blue Prince, which was a month in-game. Now, I have to finish all the other bajillion objectives that exist beyond finishing the main plot. I also found another red letter and several special rooms. I am proud of myself.
I can't express how much my little autistic-y heart loves Blue Prince. I am in my element solving puzzles and figuring out obscure logic problems. I made a lot of progress tonight, finding Red Letter 6, solving the chess puzzle, making several new contraptions, and opening up a bunch of new rooms!

I started playing Blue Prince tonight, after watching my favorite Sudoku/Puzzle YouTubers playing it. I accidentally played for six hours, but it was much easier on my thumbs than my playtesting from yesterday. If you like puzzles, I would highly recommend it. blueprincegame.online

I learned last month that I have exocrine pancreatic insufficiency, which means my body is barely digesting food on its own. I started on Pancreatic Enzyme Replacement Therapy (PERT) last week. Lo and behold, I am no longer constantly hungry, unless I forget to take my PERT. Today, I am starving.

My least favorite part of having Medicaid is the need to "try" medication I have a known mcas allergy to in order to be approved for the medication I need. I can just not take it and report what I know will happen, but it still takes weeks to get to the meds I need & wastes gov't money.

I accidentally drank caffeine.
It was a shame because I was dating a lovely guy at the time who genuinely adored me, and the evil ex threatened his life to get me to go back with him. I should have been stronger, but I was very sure he'd go through with his threat since the girl feeding him info knew where bf lived.
I had someone do a nearly identical thing to me in high school, but my people-pleasing self said ok, as not to make waves, and then I was abused repeatedly by him until the police had to get involved. I think that girl should be legally allowed to stab them both instead of just blocking them.
If I get woken up early, my eyes spend the rest of the day refusing to focus, but only if a phone call or something else wakes me before my bladder or my alarm. This happens at no other time.
After taking the MCAS treatment @erincandy.bsky.social recommended for 12+ weeks, my liver function tests are normal for the first time in over a decade.

The one I got was a yellow bundt cake that I thought was cupcakes from the picture. There were little bloops of cupcake-like frosting around the top but nowhere else.
I got a few from Walmart- Antonina's Gluten-Free Bakery (muffins that are like little clouds of delight- carries cakes too), Ethel's Baking Co. (cookie bars that are a tiny bit sandy but so good). And from Kroger, a celebration cake that stayed soft and moist for a week or more. All worth the price.
There appears to have been a significant advancement in gluten-free baking technology over the past couple of months. It's amazing to get soft, pillowy baked goods instead of the dense, crumbly ones we've had up until now.
My brain has a few-second delay in auditory processing from Behcet's, so I always use subtitles with media. If there is any noise with speech, though, I am completely lost, which makes phone calls with accents and office noise in the background absolutely panic-inducing for me.

I'm going to riot if I got sick from going to the hospital's lab. I wore an N95 mask but had to remove it for 45 seconds to chug diagnostic liquid. My throat hurts. It could be my body making ulcers for sport or it could be germs.

If it affected me the way that yeast does, there isn't a chance in hell I'd break. I would fight someone if they tried to get me to eat yeast. I have nightmares about eating it. I would love a Krispy Kreme donut, but they shall never pass these lips again (unless someone finds a cure for allergies).
...in three years since I was told the allergy exists. I don't feel the need to eat more gluten now, so making the filling the next time sounds like a good idea.
I went hog wild and had cream cheese wontons, an egg roll, and honey walnut shrimp, and it was perfection. The thing about my gluten allergy is that it has no measurable deleterious effects on me in the short term, but eventually makes me lactose intolerant. But this is the only time I've broken.
I've been without proper pain management since Monday, so I'm eating gluten for dinner bc all my brain wants is crab rangoon.

I got test results back today. My pancreas isn't bothering to put out enzymes to digest protein (just about 10% of what I need). Feeling shitty and reguarly crying over not being able to afford to eat large amounts of red meat makes more sense now.

It's commendable to want to do things for disabled people for free, but please remember they are adult (or child) humans with bodily autonomy. Don't hug/kiss/pet them like they're good little puppies unless you have their permission. It's gross and infantilizing (yes, I'm sub-whatevering).

I used Joni Ernst's line in my book eight years ago for an openly corrupt politician because it was a cartoon-like evil thing to say when they voted to take away Medicaid. In my book, that politician was Luigi'ed for being so callous.
Because of @erincandy.bsky.social, I started getting treatment for MCAS. Today's blood work has my liver damage mostly gone (ALT is normal at half what it was in Dec, AST is 7 U/L above normal). My inflammation markers are both trending down, with a 20-33% reduction in a few weeks of treatment.
