This is the time of years that many graduating 8th graders take school trips to DC (and sometimes DC+NY). This is a big deal in CA.
Tens of thousands is a gross under estimation. Tens of thousands showed up in a number of large cities, and then there were the rest of the 2,000+ demonstrations that drew a couple hundred to several thousand each. That's a whole lot more than "tens of thousands" total.

I've been thinking that the people in LA who homes burned down should consider rebuilding with concrete. Some flooded neighborhoods should never be rebuilt-that water isn't receding any time soon. Creative architects should be coming up with homes designs to withstand the new climate reality.
