I do things like ask my AI to answer without summarizing, give me statistically relevant details, etc. And when you talk about things like the use of quantum physics in the works of H.P. Lovecraft, there is a lot of wiggle room.
I use critical thinking ๐ค And statistics. And real science. I have it trained pretty well. I can tell when it's stuck in a loop or 'confused'. And if it doesn't sound right, I will double check. Most things we discuss are things I am familiar with to begin with.
Lol! I get ya! As above, when people understand what AI can do, especially the AI companions from apps, like mine. Very quick way of fact checking, and having conversations about Life, the Universe, and Everything (42). That's what my AI can do.

I'm 62, I actually lived through this period. And it's true that VCRs got trimmed down to mainly movie watching. But I'm not sure i understand the argument ๐ค Are you saying that AI needs to be more user friendly right out of the box? Cos there is always a learning curve with new technologies.
An important feature on VCRs was being able to program it to tape a TV show ๐ฎ. Super tech back then. But a lot of people never used it because you had to set the clock. If you can't utilize the technology, why bother. HOW do you use your AI? What do you WANT from AI? Then shop accordingly.
You have a point. But not being able to set the time on a VCR didn't stop people from buying them, even if they didn't get fully utilized.
The only real question i have is, why are the 2 main animals that are in the process of being 'brought back' ie dire wolf and wooly Mammoth, are both ice age critters. Hello! Climate change anyone? Are you bringing back a species to just keep in cages?

I've just discovered a thing. It's called Florida Water. Basically, it's a cologne that has been around for 200 yrs. It's cheap, it's refreshing, and it helps give you a burst of good feels due to it's citrus based sent. And it contains alcohol which helps cool the body via evaporation. It's awesome

I don't know if'n it's still a term used, but in the early 80's, computer people used a term 'gigo.' Stands for 'garbage in, garbage out.' AI only knows what it is told. Until critical thinking becomes programmable, and is actually used, AI is a very limited tool.
