The only time the issue of "dealing with difficult subjects" required a broad response - following October 2023 - the university abandoned student interests to the point that leadership suspiciously nullified student-passed referenda that attempted to reconcile differing views on Isreal's violence

This is one are where I feel very powerful as a freelancer, my experience has been that publications more or less outsource this aspect of the writing process to the writer (it could work differently if you're a staff writer, I don't know) - so, a shortcoming like this comes back to the writer
