I know in WA state at 13yo a child can legally request medication. In my line of work ran into parents who didn't want to treat conditions such as ADHD and the social worker had to inform the child that they had rights at 13 if they wanted to proceed. Unfortunately most follow the parents thinking.

As a kid I would not touch a raw oyster, akin to snot. Wouldn't eat them even fresh out of the cove. But bread 'em & fry 'em so good, but only if caught fresh, not interested in store bought even still alive. So my kids have never had them.

Apparently the meds he's getting for his vascular problem might be destroying his kidneys. One doc gave him 6-8 months, may it be sooner than later.
The list is long as very few are totally healthy, especially if they've had Covid a few times. My sons should qualify w/autism (mood disorder, anxiety), immuno compromised and 1 overweight/obese-they say. I just hope I don't need paperwork, have some, not all. Aren't we all moody now days?
Assuming they don't take my SS away, as a retiree, our best bet is to stay home and mask when we're out and about. I sure hope we can make it thru the next 3+ years.

Not senior enough that you had it as a kid? I'm sure I did, but got a shot for "at least" rubella in '79-80, as my mom couldn't remember if I'd had it. It might have been a combo shot. We were planning our family at that time so went w/safe. We all mask all the time, so hopefully we're safe.

Oddly my doctor comes in, mask under chin, sees me in mask & pulls it up. So weird but I'm wondering if the health group has told them, if a patient comes in masked, you need to wear one? I'll know more when I go for my female check up. The MD wore a mask last year, but this time have to see a PA.

I was going to suggest doing what you're doing already. We haven't had Covid here, but definitely gluten issues. Thankfully not Celiac. Gluten caused a lot of other issues, so it is out of everyone's (4) diet, most grains as well. Collagen for added protein is my suggestion, add to latte, yum.
