I thought the end of season 1 was, for lack of a better term, ballsy. It was really outside of the box in terms of conception and execution. I thought they seemed to have it figured out. Then they kinda went with “This ep is horror. This one is funny. This one action.” Not sure that works
You nailed what I’ve been trying to articulate especially about Disco. I’ve had a hard time rewatching Disc and Picard because the overall arc of the seasons are underwhelming and the individual episodes aren’t compelling enough for me to pop it on.
I think this is the problem with short seasons. It took TNG 50 episodes to find its groove. SNW won’t even make that number
