It’s like this whole administration misunderstood when they were told “in America you can be anything!”. Not a doctor but want to make health decisions for the entire nation? No worries. In America you can be anything! No folks. That’s not what this phrase means. You flunked reading comprehension.
A move to make it harder for people w/disabilities to get a job. Republicans say they want people to “pull themselves up by their bootstraps” while they cut the bootstraps off. Why go to school? Ahh. That’s the point. Education for the few. Success for the few. Everyone else is disposable.

Does he really not understand Medicaid eligibility? It’s not as simple as who lives below the Federal poverty line. Some states expanded eligibility to 138% of FPL. 138% for a single person is only $21,597. Who can live independently on this? Q. Why isn’t the FPL higher? Why are incomes so low?

They think health & safety rules and enforcement of those rules is expensive. They have forgotten how expensive black lung is. Lives lost, medical systems strained, communities impacted. Or they don’t care.

I hadn’t thought about that. Idaho has same day registration and I’ve worked the polls here. Wouldn’t put it past our legislature to use this as an excuse to end same day voter registration.

In Idaho this is called religious freedom. There is a whole cemetery of children who have died due to faith healing. Life saving medical interventions/prevention were denied to these children in the name of God.

Sadly, our government has always condoned kidnapping. Just look at our history with Indian Boarding schools. Or separation of families at the border policy. There are still ~1300 kids missing from the enactment of this policy under the 1st Trump administration. Family values.
We could’ve had stronger supports for family caregivers. Instead we got the guy who believes the elderly and people with disabilities are expendable.
It reminds me of job hunting & ATS which made me swear, a lot! You have to use precise words to get your resume through to a human. So I used scanning tools to up my chances. There isn’t a person looking at the overall picture of your expertise. Just a computer scanning for buzz words. Frustrating.
