I think that we need to rethink the idea of public service. Being in Congress should not become an avenue for becoming a millionaire. It is said that absolute power corrupts absolutely. But I think it is the money that is most corrupting factor. Term, $ , age limits would keep them focused.
That’s state government. In Senate and the House there are no limits. Grassley is 91! He’s served since 1981- 44 years. That’s crazy.
Vaccines were used around the globe. In countries where science and common sense ruled- deaths from COVID were much lower than in the U.S. it was because of Republicans pushing conspiracy theories and junk science that caused stupid people to not get vaxxed and die. Trump can’t rewrite history.
More should heed that way of thinking. There should be term limits and age limits. Experience is important but so to is infusion of new energy and knowledge.

Yup- the difference when a country has a qualified leader who attended Harvard University then pursued postgraduate studies at the University of Oxford, earning MPhil and DPhil degrees in economics. He had a very successful career in global finance. We elected a con man who had six bankruptcies!
