We don’t need to nowadays. And we shouldn’t treat living beings worse than even your cheapest furniture. The whole world of animal industry couldn’t treat them better, sadly. For two reasons: 1. It’s not economical. 2. They don’t care.
I just can’t understand why people can’t turn away from a taste they can get anyway. But if I have to choose, I’d choose lab meat every day of course. For the animals AND the planet. (Not that I would eat it, but…)
