ALSO BREAKING: Trump breaks many laws, always has, and he doesn't care, says everyday citizen who wishes he could do something anything at all about this lawlessness.
2 things about this piece: 1, it's no longer "background radiation" but an invasion into lives of far too many 2, the media is mostly NOT "sensationalizing and glamorizing these crimes" - they do report on them and the majority of that reporting makes clear that USA has a gun problem.

The 10-year-old said he had gun powder on his neck, and his good friend got hit, is in the hospital. 10 years old. I was 31 when I got shot (many years ago). I still see the shooter, remember the pain, feel it in my knee, think about it too often. This 10 yo will live with this forever.

What the? Semafor has this short piece saying "tariffs increasingly weigh on American businesses" and prices will soon rise. It ends citing a bonus for the US Treasury, "The tariffs are bringing in more money than initially expected." Dude, seriously.

Will any national political media recognize that so many voters think the parties are the problem? Many of us are not looking the Dems to choose a leader, or for the post-Trump GOP to define itself. We're living, resisting, awaiting the next election. Not waiting for a party.

Newsom might be winning on social media, but America loses in the long run if this becomes our definition of "winning" political communication. We hated Trump for doing all this. We should not applaud Newsom for similar styles.
Why is this a good thing? Newsom communicates on social using all the immature tactics we hate about Trump, and Newsom's a hero? Oh, he's just joking, right? That's what Trump often says. It's only short term, right? Until it's not. Leaders shouldn't act this way. It's reality TV, and awful.
