Access to that experience was sooooo valuable but I feel like no modern company would ever dream of having that kind of position.
When I was working in pinball, there was a guy who was like 90 years old and had been in the industry since the beginning, and basically his whole job was to be a mentor and resource for all the other designers to provide feedback and suggestions.
Anyone involved in the pinball press that wants to write about Harry Potter needs to highlight the immense damage JK Rowling has done relentlessly attacking children, families, and their health care. Sweeping that under the rug is disgusting cowardice.

A tricky thing about modern society is that no one has any idea when they donāt die. Like, the number of lives saved by controlling air pollution in America is probably over 200,000 per year, but the number of people who think their life was saved by controlling air pollution is zero.
Thatās what is so great about it. Two titans at the top of their game about to change the world and they donāt even realize it yet. Thereās so much magic sitting right there. An amazing artifact of a very specific time.
