I support the people protesting the proscription of Palestine Action. A crime?
As I understand the crime will be showing support for Palestine Action rather than planning any PA style activities, a protest against proscription. It's beginning to get slightly meta. Maybe protesting these arrests will result in arrest in a third hand sort of way? That really would be silly.

I suppose it might depend on how that happened. If I wrote something that said I thought vandalising air force jets was justified in and that I would be supportive of such actions, would that be incitement in the same way as encouraging someone to throw a brick at a shop window? We need a lawyer.
It's wiser to pay attention to the stages prior to that and take authoritarian overreach seriously. Waiting until it's too late? Not so wise.

The thing is that since 2014, when Scotland was told that independence would be a dangerous leap into the unknown, England has repeatedly forced us into one dangerous leap into the unknown after another, all of which were actively resisted by the hated Scottish nationalists.
Perhaps the target for this isn't the right at all, it's the vast swathe of people between left and right - easily the majority - who may begin to internalise the idea that we need to leave the ECHR and repeal the 1998 Human Rights Act to deal with immigration.
Hopefully England will have someone who's not a fascist to vote for.

What if it's not phoney? What if we're leaving the ECHR soon, whether we like it or not? I can understand why the political class find this appealing. I'd take it more seriously.
Remember that this gets government off the hook for those big, bothersome obligations they have to look after us. The politicians can then do what they are surely born to do, which is middle manage for corporate interests.
But you have heard a chorus from the political class, almost unified, saying that the ECHR prevents them tackling illegal migration - whatever the hell that is - and it needs left or "modified". It's a stitch up.
