Governor Pritzker called out the pundit trap that demands we sacrifice vital constitutional rights if it’s being done in the fake guise of fighting crime, and I hope Martha Raddatz knows he was calling out her soulless authoritarianism. She’s a ghoul.

You want an AOC ticket judging by your bio. I guarantee you Will Stancil does not. She qualifies as the left to him based on her economic policies.
j-kindy.bsky.social (@j-kindy.bsky.social) reply parent
I don’t think you know what a strawman is. That’s not a one. That’s evidence of what Dem economic policy contributed to. Their choice to deregulate led to extreme wealth inequality. It’s directly related. There’s a policy option to regulate Wall Street & corporations. Centrists don’t support it.
j-kindy.bsky.social (@j-kindy.bsky.social) reply parent
What are you talking about? What strawmen? Name them.
j-kindy.bsky.social (@j-kindy.bsky.social) reply parent
Actual economic data is a strawman? Hey, run on that then. Tell 90% of the country they’re doing fine with wages like the Dems did in 2016. Or stop catering to corporations and Wall Street and actually serve voters instead of corporate donors. Simple choice.
j-kindy.bsky.social (@j-kindy.bsky.social) reply parent
And that’s why Dems lose the independent vote. They dismiss the economic reality of 90% of the country. They literally dismiss the data as trite. Good luck with that.
j-kindy.bsky.social (@j-kindy.bsky.social) reply parent
What cult is that? Are these graphs falsehoods? Was Clinton announcing “The era of big government is over” in the 90s a falsehood? Dems deregulated the New Deal and helped transfer wealth to the top 1%. They prefer that status quo. And so do you. Nobody has to agree with your preference.
j-kindy.bsky.social (@j-kindy.bsky.social) reply parent
My group think? Lolz. I’m not in a party cult like you.
j-kindy.bsky.social (@j-kindy.bsky.social) reply parent
Voters by party affiliation: Independents 43%, Republicans 28%, Democrats 28%
j-kindy.bsky.social (@j-kindy.bsky.social) reply parent
Neither party is correcting the extreme wealth inequality & stagnant wage issues. There is a reason for that: they both cater to corporations & capital. While Repubs are obviously evil on social issues, Independents, the largest voting bloc, are desperately looking for a party to fix the economy.
j-kindy.bsky.social (@j-kindy.bsky.social) reply parent
You’re referring to swing voters who care about wages. They didn’t move to Trump because the Dems delivered for them. Quite the opposite. As you can see in this graph, Dems have not corrected the problem. They won’t as long as they cater to Wall Street and corporations.
j-kindy.bsky.social (@j-kindy.bsky.social) reply parent
Harris lost. Moderate Republicans didn’t turn out for Harris, Clinton, Obama, Kerry, or Gore. Again, there is a simple solution. The Democratic Party could actually represent the people in the Dem coalition they abandoned from the 90s onward.
j-kindy.bsky.social (@j-kindy.bsky.social) reply parent
If Dem Leadership would address extreme wealth inequality and stagnant wages impacting 90% of the country, we wouldn’t be having this conversation. Instead, they choose to cater to corporations and their right wing economics.
j-kindy.bsky.social (@j-kindy.bsky.social) reply parent
There’s a simple solution for that. Dem leadership should honor the coalition with left leaning members instead of catering to “moderate Republicans”. They can’t expect people to vote for a party that ignores them. Leadership chose to abandon aspects of the New Deal and social democracy.
j-kindy.bsky.social (@j-kindy.bsky.social) reply parent
I think you confuse advocating for not voting for centrists in particular with “advocate against voting for Democrats” in general. Mamdani is a Democrat, and the left supports him. Most people on the left support FDR’s new bill of rights.
j-kindy.bsky.social (@j-kindy.bsky.social) reply parent
The bottom 50% owns only 3% of the wealth. The top 5% owns over 65%. Look it up. Combine that with the graph below. Does this look good to you? Look at the wages for the bottom 90%.

Clinton deregulated. “The era of big government is over”. The voting record on the Telecommunications Act shows Democrats overwhelmingly voting for it.
