I don't even live in the USA (just north of it). But our healthcare delivery is handled by provincial governments. Despite the Liberal Prime Minister/government, many provinces, including mine, are run by Conservatives. They are trying to privatize healthcare delivery as fast as they can.

Years ago, our 2 conservative provincial parties in Alberta merged to eliminate vote splitting on the right. The leadership race for the new party featured one seemingly palatable candidate. After he lost, he proceeded to support every awful thing they do. It's always just an act with conservatives.
