He is such a dick. Trump just revoked Kamala Harris's security detail, just as she is about to start a nationwide book tour. Petty really doesn't cover it. Nasty is more like it.
The above words were penned by Ben Johnson in 1641. I'm bringing them back here to remind us all that Donald Trump is out of his everlovin' mind. No other way to say it.

My granddaughter was severely impacted by that social media garbage. She spent almost two years in residential treatment before she came out the other side intact. I only wish there was a way to hold these monsters accountable.
Janet Linde βπ (@janetlinde.bsky.social) reply parent
Mike Johnson, he needs to protect the people who live in his state. Apparently, you're not concerned with the people in yours.
Janet Linde βπ (@janetlinde.bsky.social) reply parent
I'm with her. At some point, you just stop giving a damn. It's so freeing! π

I had a couple of items that I'd forgotten the last time I was at the store. I went in yesterday and got a loaf of bread and a package of fresh spinach. Those two things? $10!
Janet Linde βπ (@janetlinde.bsky.social) reply parent
Hold on a minute. He's been on vacation eight times in seven months. How much "on-the-job training" does he think he got in the few days he's actually been so-called working?
Janet Linde βπ (@janetlinde.bsky.social) reply parent
Not to mention Donald Trump's liability decision in the Trump Org fraud case. I mean, "cheater" should have a photo of The Donald next to its dictionary entry.
Janet Linde βπ (@janetlinde.bsky.social) reply parent
For those who aren't aware, Right to Work, Stand Your Ground, Papers Please and other conservative laws swept through the country 15 years ago, where these state laws had surprisingly similar wording. That's because they were boilerplate fill-in-the-blank forms from the Koch brothers and ALEC.
Janet Linde βπ (@janetlinde.bsky.social) reply parent
He then lied like a rug during his confirmation hearings. Seems those congressional record statements, which were made under oath, ought to be a basis for recalling this monster. And a whole lot of others, too. Start holding them to account for their actions.
Janet Linde βπ (@janetlinde.bsky.social) reply parent
Here's the thing. If you actually thought your boss deserved a Nobel, you'd never say something like that. It's almost as if they're spoofing him, and he's too dumb to get the joke.
Janet Linde βπ (@janetlinde.bsky.social) reply parent
Sadly, people who live in DC know he's lying. But where I live in NW Montana, it's another score for The Donald. They think he's killing it.

Can't wait to get the full video of that speech. It is epic. I plan to send it to everyone I know.

The question actually is: What is Snoop worried about? Is he afraid that his grandson might embarrass him if he's gay and chooses a same-sex partner? Really? That's the scariest scenario he could imagine today? Because simply seeing same-sex couples as normal might just be. . .normal.
Janet Linde βπ (@janetlinde.bsky.social) reply parent
It's shocking. Even if you understand science and eagerly line up for your vaxes each the fall, they *may not be available*. No words.
Janet Linde βπ (@janetlinde.bsky.social) reply parent
Yes, she's a serious and capable leader, and I hope we haven't seen the last of her on the ballot. She *barely* lost that election, despite Donald's non-stop lies about his "landslide victory."
Janet Linde βπ (@janetlinde.bsky.social) reply parent
The grocery. Prices are now flying past anything we've ever seen here before. Will we be like Argentina or Venezuela, where bread is $500? How long will it take, and will anyone stop him in time? I don't know.
Janet Linde βπ (@janetlinde.bsky.social) reply parent
How do they all keep straight faces? The stupidity is hilarious. I have to give 'em that.
Janet Linde βπ (@janetlinde.bsky.social) reply parent
The problem is that when you use these words, you signal membership in a "tribe" that's enlightened, and the implication is offensive to non-members. When you use them, the rest will likely label you elitist and out of touch. If politics is a game of addition, that's not going to bring in converts.
Janet Linde βπ (@janetlinde.bsky.social) reply parent
You obviously touched a nerve. These are coded words that are alien to a large swath of Americans. Someone's 5-year-old knows what cisgendered means because his mom explained it to him. I had to look it up. Not everyone cares to go to the trouble.
Janet Linde βπ (@janetlinde.bsky.social) reply parent
No worries. I could tell that was your point. π
Janet Linde βπ (@janetlinde.bsky.social) reply parent
Seriously. I like to think I keep up pretty well with political ideas, but I had to look it up when I first saw it. Most people won't bother, if it's not something their family, friends and co-workers are using.
Janet Linde βπ (@janetlinde.bsky.social) reply parent
Agree. The clarity is understood mostly by people who are already voting Dem. MAGA voters cringe when they hear them and the rest roll their eyes and think the Left is in La La Land. We need to be talking with and to potential voters, not *at* them.

And besides, a centrist who also acknowledges the needs of the fringe and does what he can to help is what I see Dems clamoring for. Big tent. Not a my-way-or-the-highway type, who'd have fervent followers but turn everyone else off.

I'm thinking it's a psyops tactic to engage in so many acts that are wholly outrageous and yet unstoppable that everyone who's not part of the "in group" just surrenders. It's systematically and inexorably breaking down the will of the people.
Janet Linde βπ (@janetlinde.bsky.social)
Just remember on this redistricting brouhaha. Reshaping districts to shave off a little here and put it there is likely to deliver *less extreme* candidates, because thinning out the partisan packing of voters means an extreme candidate won't win the general. It could be a good thing.
Janet Linde βπ (@janetlinde.bsky.social)
I saw Stephen Miller wearing a suit just like Ben Kingsley's here. It was during the visit to DC's Union Station with JD Vance and Pete Hegseth. I always thought Stephen Miller was embarrassingly out of step with the times.

Signing bonus and enhanced retirement benefits for ICE thugs, all while the Trump regime sends whole armies of brilliant scientists and dedicated public servants to the unemployment line. The Nov 5 election was a cataclysmic event in American history, rivaling the shots fired at Fort Sumter.

Don't forget that the July 4, 2018, Moscow Eight meeting happened just 12 days before Helsinki. And Rand Paul flew to Russia to hand-deliver a letter from Trump to the Kremlin three weeks after that. Oh, to be a fly on the wall for those secret chats.
Janet Linde βπ (@janetlinde.bsky.social) reply parent
Lucky you, to find a distraction from this gawdawful mess Trump has made. Honestly, when I think of the petty quibbles some voters had with Biden and Harris that they used as an excuse to stay home or bring back Trump, I could scream.

What is most American about America is that we adhere to the rule of law. It's not perfect, but it's the "screen" that protects me from you and you from me. We don't have to settle our disputes with guns. I think a large part of our citizenry missed that day in class.

What a dope! Putin doesn't care about *anyone* being killed. He even killed his buddy Prigozhin to take out a perceived threat. And Trump is a threat to all of mankind, because he only cares about himself. No one will be sorry to see either of them gone.

So we'll turn out an entire generation of ignorants--young people who have received no education, because they let a machine fill in the blanks for them, so to speak. Once the human knowledge base is gone, it'll be downhill to oblivion.

Janet Linde βπ (@janetlinde.bsky.social) reply parent
As an aside, I'd bet that one of the reasons Trump has been suing media companies, legal firms and universities is to dilute the impact of these wins--like the Fox-Dominion suit, for example. Just another "they all do it" cover.

Janet Linde βπ (@janetlinde.bsky.social) reply parent
That's a problem with American politics, in general. Our elected leaders *should* be governing with an eye on the effects in the future, as well as the next two or four or six years until the next election. Unfortunately, winning the next election is all that matters to them.

Reminder: Eight US lawmakers spent Fourth of July in 2018 in Moscow with the Russian Duma, and 12 days later was Trump's disastrous summit with Putin in Helsinki. Then Rand Paul flew to Moscow August 8 to hand-deliver a letter from Trump to the Kremlin. What was going on in the summer of 2018?

Since Me Too, it's easy to forget that, in the Before Times, sexual abuse was rarely prosecuted. Most victims didn't even report it to police, and that should add credence to the Epstein and Trump accusers. Many came forward, expecting great public shame without any assurance of vindication.
