Verdict on the Fresh Peach Pie: so good! Some peach pies are super runny. Not this one! It all came together. And yeah, tasted great with vanilla ice cream. 100,000/10. This is excellent pie.

It is a little messy, but it still looks pretty good. And it's likely to be delicious when served with a dollop of vanilla ice cream. I had to get one more peach pie in before the end of summer. I've got one more pie weekend before this game ships, so next weekend I'm thinking lemon meringue.

Verdict on the Really Good Key Lime Pie: unsurprisingly, really good! I don't know if the pretzels in the crust do all that much (added salt, I guess?) but I do love the meringue. And the filling is classic key lime. 500,000/10. This is great pie.

According to my notes I've made six key lime pies before, but I've always used the same recipe. This one is from Cook's Illustrated, and has two twists: ground pretzels in the crust, and meringue, not whipped cream on top. Key lime is easily in my top three pie, so looking forward to eating this.

The only downside to Glenstone is that while it's free, you have to get tickets well in advance, and they run out very quickly every month. But because of that, they can really limit attendance. There are no crowds, no lines, just wide open spaces for the artwork. Like I said, it's really special.
Jason Bergman (@jasonxbergman.bsky.social)
Took the family to Glenstone today. The museum itself is as much a work of art as the pieces on display. And there's no commentary! They embrace Duchamp's idea that art happens between the work and the viewer (naturally, he's in the collection). It's really a special place. www.glenstone.org
