I switched to digital inking and art in 2018 because I wanted to pursue making band posters and I got VERY lucky in 2019 when I first got hired by Metallica. I don’t think it’s absolutely crucial to learn digital for commercial work but it makes making changes SO much easier

Yeah, that's probably a big part of it for me too. I guess socmed is once again ruining something for me in terms of not being able to just _create_ for the sake of it. It always has to be an end goal of sharing. Which is why sketches are so sacred to me. I rarely fully share those. They're for me.

Bwahah! I think he gets a pair as his good eye is probably getting strained. I also always pictured his blind eye isn’t 100% blind, but just a complete opaque blur. So he gets the briefest suggestion of shapes and perhaps a tease of color on that eye
