Always depends on the people. That’s my number one lesson in life. The healthiness of a community relies on that entirely. My problem with Reddit tends to be anonymous nature (potential) emboldens people to have more open conversations. But with that comes a whole lot of baggage.
It depends on which subreddit. Personally, I try to avoid any of the controversial ones.
The same for the good as it is for the bad. But it most definitely isn’t the only tool used.
Reddit is basically a community bulletin board that has light moderation and curation by the individual community organizers. Effectively, it is an echo chamber.
Of course, can say the same thing about FOX, Facebook, 4chan, etc.
Reddit (and many other communities) can be a cesspool and I am sure it can “radicalize” people in a sense that they’re in an echo chamber.

What’s the dumbest part about this whole fucking thing? I had to log into my Google Play account to download a version of Minecraft Pocket (Android) on the #SteamDeck because Microsoft doesn’t have a native #Steam version of Minecraft.
I put the new password into my #SteamDeck web browser (Minecraft Launcher) and it asked me to use the Authenticator app on my phone to verify the number on the screen. I didn’t have that installed. So, another 3-legged OAuth again and I am unable to send an SMS today because I tried too many times.
I was required to reset my password. In order to do that, I sent an email to my Google account (2FA), and created a new password in my Apple keychain. Microsoft sent a verify SMS message to my phone (2FA).
