I’m a city councilman. I talk at our meetings about storm drains, and local festivals, and affordable housing. But I also talk about ICE and National Guard deployments and attacks on civil rights and due process, because this shit matters, and it’s relevant for every elected official at every level.
🤷🏻♂️ We’re working on it. A couple of fine local businessmen decided to extort the town a bit, and it’s taking much longer than it should to get a development agreement signed and shovels in the ground as a result. But there should be a couple hundred units there in the next few years.
It’s outrageous that our taxpayer dollars are funding CCM’s lobbying campaign to undermine essential housing reform. Manchester is our people, and CCM hurt them this session by working against affordable housing and for higher rents. Enough is enough.
