When I quit, I told the supervisor straight up: “I deserve better.” And I do. I’d rather risk being broke than let a miserable boss destroy my dignity. The only reason they even offered me the breaker role in the first place was because two other people quit under him.
So I quit. Yeah, I’ve got credit card bills piling up. I even had to ask my mom for grocery money. Life feels unsustainable right now. But there’s no way I’m going to let myself be treated like trash just to stand in a hallway.
I tried to stick it out because the job was easy to get to by bus, but instead they scheduled me to just stand in a hallway for 8 hours straight. Can’t put your hands in your pockets, can’t even breathe without being watched. And on top of that, the supervisor was extremely rude and controlling.
I quit my security guard job. I originally applied for a graveyard shift. While I was training, they offered me a breaker position—basically covering guards on their breaks, Monday through Friday. I accepted that. Then last minute, they gave the breaker spot to someone else.
