True, there was a statutory basis for Biden's loan forgiveness, while Trump unilaterally shuttering any agency established by law is patently unlawful. The difference that does exist actually highlights the lawlessness and hypocrisy.
It was executive overreach for Biden to implement student loan forgiveness, but perfectly fine for Trump to essentially dissolve the Department of Education. Nationwide injunctions against Biden were great, but nationwide injunctions against Trump are judicial overreach. Shameless hypocrisy.
In fairness, it's not a novel idea. The Insurrection Clause of the 14th Amendment is designed to do the exact same thing. Sadly, the SCOTUS refused to enforce it and instead treated it as merely ornamental. We must now try to mitigate the damage. Hopefully the republic survives. 🤞

I replied just a few minutes ago to a different post on this topic. I think Musk's objective is to grab every bit of data he can get his hands on and use it to train his AI. In addition to the obvious privacy concerns, this will give him a competitive advantage that big tech should be fighting.
It's more like he's stealing and warehousing an unimaginable amount of data that can be used to train AI. With access to so much data that others do not have, Musk will be able to build AI models that crush competitors. Why isn't big tech fighting back?
