"Christian" nationalism isn't Christian. Nothing these people say or do is Christian.
A Christian, tired of purported Christians perverting the Bible to justify hate. A lawyer, disappointed by lawyers who facilitate lawlessness. A patriot, angered by those who drape themselves in the flag but act antithetically to what it represents.

I'd like to talk about his golden obsession. The Oval Office is now showered in gold, he's going to offer a golden visa, and now the golden dome. I'm beginning to think there actually may be a golden video.

Their claim of "Christianity" is a sham used to trick those who lack discernment into supporting policies antithetical to Christ's teachings. The Bible warns us about them. "[S]uch people are not serving our Lord Christ, but their own appetites [and] they deceive the minds of naive people."
Joseph Adams (@joseph-adams.bsky.social) reply parent
No, that is an incorrect statement of the law. A bribe does not have to be successful (i.e., achieve the desired result) in order to violate 18 U.S.C. § 201.

True, there was a statutory basis for Biden's loan forgiveness, while Trump unilaterally shuttering any agency established by law is patently unlawful. The difference that does exist actually highlights the lawlessness and hypocrisy.
Joseph Adams (@joseph-adams.bsky.social) reply parent
It was executive overreach for Biden to implement student loan forgiveness, but perfectly fine for Trump to essentially dissolve the Department of Education. Nationwide injunctions against Biden were great, but nationwide injunctions against Trump are judicial overreach. Shameless hypocrisy.
Joseph Adams (@joseph-adams.bsky.social) reply parent
In fairness, it's not a novel idea. The Insurrection Clause of the 14th Amendment is designed to do the exact same thing. Sadly, the SCOTUS refused to enforce it and instead treated it as merely ornamental. We must now try to mitigate the damage. Hopefully the republic survives. 🤞

The goal is to make merely surviving a struggle. They hope people will not have the time, energy, financial resources, etc. to defend themselves, others, or democracy. Everything they do is to keep us uneducated, uninformed, unable to earn a living, unable to vote, unable to access medical care...

Imagine telling someone during the Cold War that the USSR would fall in the 90s and later, with a former KGB officer president, Russia would invade Ukraine (likely kicking off a USSR reconstitution tour) and in response POTUS would withhold aid and intel to Ukraine and algin the US with Russia?

Of course, nukes shouldn't be used. But if Ukraine still had them, Putin would behave. Mutually assured destruction and all. Also, any strike by Russia would likely trigger a NATO response - fallout would encroach into NATO territory. Putin's nuke threat is like Trump's infrastructure week: BS.

I replied just a few minutes ago to a different post on this topic. I think Musk's objective is to grab every bit of data he can get his hands on and use it to train his AI. In addition to the obvious privacy concerns, this will give him a competitive advantage that big tech should be fighting.
Joseph Adams (@joseph-adams.bsky.social) reply parent
It's more like he's stealing and warehousing an unimaginable amount of data that can be used to train AI. With access to so much data that others do not have, Musk will be able to build AI models that crush competitors. Why isn't big tech fighting back?
