My son is a diver in HS just starting the recruiting process. What this settlement has done to Olympic sports, especially diving, is horrible. Kids that have dedicated their lives to this sport are facing the reality that they may not be able to continue to pursue their dreams.

Yes! There is not nearly enough emphasis on the “why” in early/middle education. And not just in the humanities. How many times did you ask “when will I ever use this” in algebra class? Learning the “why” would go a long way to importing education outcomes.
