Canada is NOT the world's role model for healthcare, like it used to be. Canada should look at Scandinavian countries, for their universal, publicly funded & high-quality healthcare systems, which provide access to care for all with minimal direct cost & lead to excellent health outcomes.
Over 35 years ago, I lived in Toronto & Oakville in Ontario, Canada and worked as an ICU nurse in downtown TO. Didn't we see this same problem back then? Don't Canadians pay enough taxes to deserve better treatment? And still, nothing is done to fix the problem. Wake up Canada.
