What remains extremely interesting to me is how in some places kids don’t even know the names of tribes that lived in their area. As if they never existed. Glad I had a brave teacher who fought for this curriculum when it wasn’t popular. Myrra Lee, national teacher of the year 1977.
I did know this. It was in my high school civics curriculum. There are several examples of government directives that clearly point to a genocide of native peoples. Documented directives.

My mom did this too! It was sort of a mutual agreement that I could drive but she could cower. And both of us respected it.
These days it is completely normal to “give up” for a day or two or a week. The kind of focus, determination, and strength required will mean that you need a break. How about Andor? My son says it helps. Personally I left to go diving for a week and that really helped reenergize my strength.
This is what good government looks like. These folks at CalFire are here in our community protecting people and property on a scale that cannot be accomplished on a local scale without the assistance and cooperation of state and federal agencies.

It would seem the only way for that to happen is to require they pay people a living wage. Historically companies don’t spend money for employee related expenses unless all companies are required to do so. Otherwise bas companies take advantage of it and reward their stockholders and management.

History of many regulated industries tells us that companies will do absolutely nothing related to public safety unless they are required by law to do so. We would still be driving cars without seatbelts. And water would generally be unsafe to humans animals and fish. Examples abound.
