I really appreciate the combination of these extremely pained, serious comments about the government trying to deport unaccompanied children in the wee hours of a holiday weekend…and the name Judge Sparkle Sooknanan

With Trump's capture of the right and attempt to dismantle federal function (aside from police state and enriching the ultra wealthy) as fast as possible, it's going to take efforts of many kinds and directions to put back some speed bumps. Say what you will about Newsom, but he is not complacent
This interview is worth a listen, even if you are a Newsom hater and would never support him in a primary. He has a striking sense of pragmatic urgency around interrupting Trump's 2026 gerrymandering grab--that this is really a last-ditch place to stop him and other states need to get serious fast.
