I’ve read two Atlantic pieces that refer to Trump’s psychopathy as “disordered personality.” Let’s not conflate the real term: personality disorder. The Atlantic is sane-washing. The Atlantic is posing as its former self. Let’s not be fooled. The Atlantic is transparently folding to MAGA.

I’ve been struggling lately to put a finger on what I’ve been feeling. A swirl of anger, sadness, frustration, and even despair each time I read a headline about Trump dismantling our institutions, civil liberties, and inflicting cruelty after cruelty on “others”. Today I realized, it’s grief.
Thank you for naming these feelings of dread and despair. You’re not grieving alone.

Why should Trump care about the Epstein files? Everyone knows he’s a serial rapist. The monster can do anything and he survives everything. I can’t imagine pedophilia making a bit of difference. Why not just satisfy the base, show the files, and walk away unscathed as always? What is the problem?
The thing is they believe in lies. They eat lies for breakfast, lunch, dinner, snacks, and dessert. Lies are the sustenance they live on.
And that means they should pay for their crime against the country and their own families and neighbors. No sympathy.

I’ll gloat. These people didn’t just hurt themselves, they hurt me, you, and 99.9% of everyone else. They deserve this and more hardship is on the way for us thanks to them. They should own up to their stupidity and the harm they caused.
