I’m actually a little upset about it. Reed was initially issued 1 and that would have slapped and 11 (theoretically) would be available to Parsons. Maybe the argument is they didn’t want a rookie to be the first to wear it, but 20/20 hindsight Reed in 1 and Parsons in 11 is chefs kiss.

The implication or I guess my interpretation is that Parsons is a big personality. GB has experience with big personalities. Those personalities ended up traded at the end of their careers, but the personalities were big for several years prior to the trade.

The Brewers are currently 3rd in all of MLB in Run Differential. I wouldn't say that's an indicator that the Brewers are "squeaking by", personally. The schedule does get tougher. We'll see how that goes.
