I can only take so much reality show theater before I tune out the whole performance.

I think about 5 years ago? If the runner scores, it’s not “earned” by the pitcher, but subsequent runs are. And it’s not used in the postseason, I don’t think… but postseason rules seem to change every year.

I imagine it’s a really tough thing to balance, wanting your kid to be in the best place to succeed - at anything - which includes, maybe now more than ever, standing out.

I got a couple suggested reels on my feed recently that featured young adults hyping actual paper books. Like, *BOOK* books. It felt like something they’d show in a school assembly, and I was immediately suspicious.

This was my favorite thing to do in little league. I always asked my coaches if I could do the book.
Funny… I went to find it in my local library (last year) and they only had it as part of a summer book club packet. Though I do think you could have a good discussion if enough people see that he’s been the same ambitious chameleon the whole time, which really comes through in his writing.
Feels like the right time for this show, culturally.
