Here's why: 1) Kennedy has overstayed his usefulness to trump. He got anti-vaxxers & a % or 2 Dems to vote R. 2) Pharma is putting pressure on trump to kick WormBrain to the curb bcuz every time he speaks out against vaccines, etc drug manufacturers lose $$.
Things will be bad, probably very bad, for a while, but the CDC isn't some species gone extinct. It was built by wise, civic-minded people, and it can be rebuilt. All the gutted or destroyed agencies can be rebuilt. I just hope voters remember who destroyed them & caused the damage that's coming.

Trump is deeply unpopular and he's only going to get more so as the impact of the tariffs and immigration crackdowns is more widely felt. Someone should tell the media and congressional Democrats.

Set your mind back to July 2024. Joe Biden had just had a disastrous debate. The entire country agreed on one thing: He was deeply, deeply unpopular. Biden's approval rating at the time? 36% among all adults, 31% among independents. Trump's approval today? 37% and 29%, respectively.
Rioting and desecration? Where? Tehran? WTF and where am I?

The DNC could learn a thing or two (or 10) about the putting the greater good first and putting egos aside, from late night hosts and comedians.
The fact that this has been the GOP's MO for decades, long before MAGA, yet the country rarely holds them accountable but still votes for them, points to a defective education system and a news industry that has abdicated its core responsibility (and no, that's not to turn a profit).
