Post Covid-19 Condition (PCC) as of 2023 affected 11% of Canadians. Understandably it is higher among HCWs. In many cases it is debilitating. Although Health Canada has issued guidelines for Long Covid, much more research needs to be done on underlying mechanisms and effective treatments.
Good to hear John Carpay, the so-called Freedom Convoy’s lawyer, has been disbarred. Alberta, this is a wake up call.

I didn’t catch the whole program, but what I heard was strange. It seems like a number of people are missing the point. We’re at economic war with the US. Rather than being helpless we can use our buying power to fight back. Collectively we can defend our economy. It’s crucial not to lose momentum.
I caught part of a CBC call-in today about «elbows up». One caller was seeking sympathy for being shamed for vacationing in the US. Another said he doesn’t believe in «elbows up» because it causes division among people. He implied we shouldn’t be ´mean’ to Americans because of their administration!

As a Canadian through and through I get disheartened knowing Alberta’s gov’t has gone rogue. But as Cole said, “Alberta’s future doesn’t belong to the UCP. It belongs to the people.” Alberta has its work cut out for it, but there’s a glimmer of hope, and I’ll take a glimmer over despair any day.

Once the Canada Strong pass expires next month we will once again have to pay an entrance fee for National Parks. It’s been nice getting into the parks and historic sites for free this summer.

Hiking is an option, but not recommended by Parks Canada due to the distance and lack of pathway along the road. It’s a hilly 14 km hike each way on open roadway. Oh and bears! We passed one on the side of the road while biking.
Troubling times. This, and that fact that Trumpf has covert operatives in Greenland, are why Canada is boosting defence spending and recruitment. Our neighbour is far from stable and a fair-weather ally at best.

That’s a fact ✅ It was under Con gov’t in 2013 when the current law, permitting a person to defend themselves with proportional resistance, were put into place. Now PP wants people to be able to use a machine gun to defend against a butter knife🤯 That’s not okay.
