I served on BK county committee after being recruited by an org called Rep Your Block, I always assumed that they were affiliated/a subsidiary of Run For Something as a lot of the people involved were in the orbits of both orgs. After googling Looks like they might be distinct though, my mistake!
A lot of them are for tiny (but important!) seats in county committees and Democratic Party infrastructure, many of which sit vacant and uncontested (eg Brooklyn alone has 3400 county committee seats).
