A generation is 16yrs. So the next Holyrood Election will see a referendum for 2030, 16 years after the first. We don't need a sec30 either, I have faith in a 60% majority.
I think the neverendum taunt had a big effect on proceedings since 2014. If snp spent the limited budget that they have on independence referendums every 4 yrs then they wouldn't get a fourth term. I believe support has grown organically because of their inaction.

It's catch22 for the SNP because at each turn when they mitigate austerity from Westminster, the people who would have suffered the hardship don't. The wider community then benefit tangentially because the same people not suffering from the worst austerity don't adversely effect the middle.
