Right now your constituents are being targeted for being born Jewish. And you traveled to Judea and Samaria to highlight violence committed by a minority of Jews- with massive disapproval by other Jews- and fail to show that there are Jews living in Judea and Samaria who are not extremists.
Most “settlements” are in area C, not “illegal”. A majority on both sides have a problem with extremists who intentionally commit unprovoked violence. What pisses me off is when people leap over facts to pretend that only one side has extremists. That is problematic and disingenuous at best.
Judea and Samaria are highlands. That’s why the history of the Jewish people is in those mountains. You can stand in Samaria and see into Tel Aviv. With a history of surrounding armies moving to “throw the Jews into the sea” (their words, not mine), security is a grave responsibility for Israel.
The “West Bank”, Judea and Samaria, is divided into area A, B, and C. Area C is Israeli territory, governed both civil and security-wise by Israel. The Palestinian Authority agreed to that during the Oslo Accords. Why is that? Because of the long history of attacks against Israel by its neighbors
Some just want to live in the heart of Judea, where their ancestors did. The MSM will never report that detail. Did you have any objectivity? Or was this just a trip to cast Jews in as ugly a light as possible while American Jews in your states are being threatened on a daily basis?
Do either of you know why those checkpoints exist? Did you bother to also meet with any “settlers”? Many of them are Americans too. The majority of Israelis are angry with violent “settlers”, or did you check into that at all? The rarely reported fact is that not all “settlers” are like that.
