As a parent who's been there, my kid rode the bus. Drop off & pick up took 2 to 3 hours out of my day otherwise. Orlando is highly multicultural and the public schools reflect that. My son, half white half black, fit right in. The rich kids went to fuck all charter schools, that we still pay for.

This was as a result of being called out for singling out the rainbow crosswalks, here, in Key West etc. When asked why they didn't paint over other decorative crosswalks, they just moved the goalpost. Before it was about distracting drivers, or political statements, now it's ALL artwork.
They have now painted over additional crosswalks that featured any kind of artwork, not just the rainbow one across from Pulse. While there are some additional crosswalks in Downtown Orlando that haven't been touched, I'm sure they'll get there soon.
