I was forced to attend an evangelical church as a kid. It was boring, the Bible stories I was told didn't make sense and the adults couldn't explain it. I was told it's the word of God, or I must have faith. It all felt like a lie, it felt phony, people in church weren't really living by it.

I have heard similar stories from other types of churches. They are not preaching the gospel, they are dividing neighbors and communities. They used to welcome the stranger into church. Now it's become not only are you not welcome with that view, but you are the enemy and are deemed evil.

As a veteran myself when we take an oath to defend the constitution it doesn't just stop when our service ends. Rather it's an unspoken lifetime commitment and why veterans and our military are so appreciated. People know we will do the right thing. Ashli and MAGA betrayed that oath on Jan 6.
I talked to a MAGA voter recently. Every point I brought up they felt was acceptable. MAGA was morally right to do it. Herein lies the problem: their religion and politics have blended together. Attacking MAGA politics = attacking their religion and they take it personally.

I visited Mt. Rainier National Park this summer. Absolutely amazing! One of the best National Parks I've visited.
It's a show, there are no metrics being tracked. The military cannot perform arrests and they don't have anything to do. What it does accomplish is scaring off tourism and hurting the local economy. Trust me, the National Guard would rather be providing relief to a natural disaster.

I feel that if we've allowed it to go this far then we haven't gone off the edge yet. IMO, it will look like arresting anyone for exercising their first amendment rights for speaking out against #47, nation-wide martial law, #47 getting a third term, arresting Biden, closing the border both ways.
My concern is how this will play out when it's time to vote. Will ICE hover and patrol polling stations under the veil of looking for illegals? Will this dissuade voters from turning out - yes I believe it will.

I met a retired apartment complex maintenance manager yesterday. After 40 years of work, he still doesn't have good dental insurance. His teeth were rotting and crumbling out of his mouth. So many people can't afford their deductible, so they forgo treatment even tho they have insurance. Ridiculous!
After you have your child and realize there is no federal PTO, you now face the hard reality of how much childcare costs in the US. Many decide that it's more affordable for one parent to stay home resulting in a loss of income & retirement contributions in a country that takes 2 incomes to make it.
