I think other teams could see what we all see, which is that he’s a mediocre closer who has gotten really lucky. At his salary, that’s not a guy you trade for.

At the end of the day, getting two high-upside high school hitters for a system that doesn't have a lot of big upside is definitely a decent result for the Royals. I was worried Kansas City would go heavy on high school pitching again or make a super weird selection. They did neither.
