Salud.
It is thundering, so we are both rather napacious.
Three species winter here. Ruby-throated, rufous, and black-chinned. I've never seen a black-chinned. Ruby-throateds are the only ones that nest here and are by far the most common. They are such cool little things. Feisty as hell. One buzzed Whiskers this morning.
They are usually here into October. A few winter, but they are not as abundant as they are in fall migration.

Three hummingbirds this morning, @rebeccagrambo.bsky.social, and one of them is a male. The two females got along well together and shared the two feeders. Now they're all fighting.
I seem to remember Bruce and Betsy (the neighbors) having a friend who worked with animals, maybe at a zoo or something, and that was why the goat was visiting. But he was successfully wrangled and returned to wherever he was before. Goats are nimble. 2/2
You know, I really can't remember. I know the goat (it was a young goat) escaped from my neighbors' house, but I can't remember what it was doing there. But it escaped, and we chased it down the street and into my landlord's backyard. 1/
