It has been pointed out, FDA are professional vaccine skeptics and many candidate vaccines are not approved due to safety or efficacy issues. People opposing approved vaccines are just anti-vaccine rather than ‘skeptics’, they are causing unnecessary illness and death. #vaccines

OK I get where you're coming from- good luck. Not sure why you are against preventative vaccines that would also save lives and reduce the viral load around us.
Very sorry to hear about your experience. But the criteria for a successful vaccine is to reduce illness and death (with good safety), not to prevent completely. Covid vax greatly reduces severe illness and death. People should know RFKJr is killing the vax side effect compensation fund!
Most people would call vaccines the first line, and all that's needed for many diseases. If you're already sick it's too late for a vax. PPE can and did save lives- absent emergency it's a personal choice based on perceived risk e.g. being immunodeficient. If no vaccines, the risk is high.

That was my point in reply above. Nature is perfectly capable of occasionally generating a virus that humans can’t stop. E.g. non symptomatic carriers exist. Fast mRNA vax is today’s best defense against a new virus with high transmission and high lethality. Saved 100s of millions.
‘Eliminated’ is not actually possible today for Covid or flu even with the best (mRNA) vaccines. But vaccinated people are much less likely to get sick or die (for both). We are now un-eliminating measles, with worse to come.
