I don’t know if the chopping and changing of the recruitment team last season would have impacted it but just promoting internally and not bringing in some new Sporting Director with a decent network seems daft

I think those are different ends of the spectrum ie a) leaving it all until the last minute, and b) taking a punt and going wild. Really we should be closer to somewhere in the middle, I don’t think it’s either or.
