I've lived in a few places in Maine where I haven't locked my doors. I really enjoy not having to reach for my keys every time I enter my house, and it also comes in handy when I ask friends/neighbors to check on something, drop something off, etc. But I totally get your standpoint as well...

Bumblebee colonies have a less rigid hierarchical structure than honeybee colonies, but the drones from each pretty much have the same job description: find a queen and mate with her. They donāt do any helpful work for the colony.

Totally! I've also discovered that I find standing while paddling much more comfortable than sitting upright in a kayak for long periods of time (probably just a personal pref). We have a manual pump for inflating it, and the one caveat I'll say is that it is a WORKOUT inflating it every time.
We've had an inflatable paddle board for a few years now and it's been fantastic! As you say: easy to transport, easy to store, and impressively rigid when fully inflated. Drop stitch manufacturing is really incredible.
