It's one thing to actively organize a recall. It's quite another, faced with a recall already on your ballot, to vote to boot a piece of shit because he's a piece of shit. Especially one who did more than almost anyone to make recalls as commonplace as possible.
Weren't at least some of the progressives out for revenge because this guy had abused the recall system to fuel conservative backlash?
We admittedly haven't had the same opportunity Washington fans have to develop our vocabulary around various forms of sexual harassment and exotic ruptured knee ligaments. So it's a slower process.

There's value to thinking less in terms of problems than in terms of support and skills. Does the kid have support to develop the skills they need to handle current and foreseeable life situations? That right combo of therapy, medication, etc. can smooth their developmental track for the future.
