The sun is oot. Not used to this in Glasgow! A range of small plates was the order of the day.Beetroot carpaccio, tomato salad, chicken and chorizo, frittata, courgettes with mint and lemon, black pudding and caramelised onions, chilli garlic prawns. Husband says I am good to stay another night!

Final night of the summer holidays meant Italian loaded dogs, rosemary and garlic potatoes, tomato and buratta salad with pistachio pesto and a ricotta, honey and thyme dip. Youngest teenager also had to have ketchup!

Finely sliced cabbage, chilli sauce and yogurt.
Inspired by @paulainsw6rth recipe on @saturday.kitchen , we made gyros, nigella seed flatbreads, pink pickled onion salad, hummus, spicy cabbage and seasoned fries. We finished with a galatopita, Greek custard and filo pie, (second time trying this and it still needs work), but hey go, it’s Monday.

Only on the 35th of Julember when the sun is in the rising house of Sagittarius. Don’t worry, if it does rain there are plenty of free museums and pubs that will welcome you in.
Deboned a half leg of lamb and covered it in garlic, rosemary and anchovies, chucked in the oven for 35mins. Roasted potatoes with rosemary and garlic. Harissa carrot and courgette, charred broccoli, lemon peas and leeks with gravy. Sunday dinner for the troops!

The people at Conde Nast have really the worst customer service, ever! Bought the youngest a @vougemagazine.bsky.social subscription for Christmas and so far she’s had only Jan, Feb and March issues. April, May and June have never appeared! Cannot get an answer from them. Poor show, poor show.

Friday off work, a play around the kitchen.Camembert that needed attention so baked it and poured hot honey over it. Served with grilled chicken in hot sauce and ranch. Bacon wrapped roast potatoes with harissa mayo. Jerk pork bites and apple coleslaw. Roast cauliflower with chilli and hummus.

Potato scone, black pudding, smoked bacon, fried quails egg to start. Then, lemony greens, buratta and rocket pesto. Feeling virtuous because I’ve been to body pump!
