I made this tonight and it’s as delicious as you’d expect. I lobbed in cannellini beans as I had some needing eating.

I made it at the weekend (saw your post). It was so good. My first time eating anchovies (I always viewed them as hairy worms). Did you use that drink whose name I've forgotten? I used dry white wine instead. Maybe went a bit heavy on the chillies but I like that.
I did use vermouth! But dry white is prob even nicer. Vermouth is handy to have for cooking as it doesn’t spoil v quickly once opened. I was generous with the chilli too… Oh and welcome to anchovies! They are THE BEST.
Ohh that's good to know. I bought the fanciest anchovies the shop had just to be safe 😂. Got a few left over and the marscapone so will make again.
Good anchovies on hot buttered sourdough is a wonderful munch when you’re knackered.
Oh ok!! I've got some sourdough ANd I'm knackered. Maybe I'll have a glass of wine too. I was looking longingly at all the roof top drinking places on the way home and feeling very left out. Hot as in toasted ??
Yes, toasted. Just a couple of strips laid across a slice so you get a bit in every mouthful. Def open the wine if you have.
I enjoyed that! May have a second. My youngest said anchovies on toast is a 'thing' on tiktok. But with onions on top.
Oh you have vinegared anchovies (boquerones) I think? Mine are the salted, dark ones. I get these ones, but Tesco/Sainos sell cantabrian ones too.
How can you tell? The colour? I didn't know there were different kinds. I think it was the dark ones I saw on a pizza once and I was a bit 👀But I'll get yours next time.
I’d have been fooled by that packaging too, it does say vinegar but I could easily have assumed they were salted. And it may be that you like those ones better. But I’m team salt all the way.
YES.
We have this recipe at least twice a month in our house. Everyone loves it and it’s proper tasty.
It’s def going on rotation here too.
Lovely.
It really was. And ready in the time it takes the pasta to cook.
We are having a Thai chicken yellow curry, made easy thanks to a Coconut Kitchen paste (first time we’ve tried them). It’s banging - my glasses are steamed up!
Not heard of those, where do you buy them?
There was a stall at work but they have a website 🥰 www.thecoconutkitchen.co.uk/shop/
Thank you b
Love
Oooh I like the sound of that. I had a 12 hour day at work and once again cba to do anything except a total repeat of last nights dinner as had an avo to use up.
This is the tyranny of the avocado.
Nothing wrong with that x
And it was just as delicious 😀
