Have you considered that perhaps because James is so close to the club and well informed, this is why he has reacted in this way. I would presume that James knows a great deal more about the situation than we do. The facts that eventually emerge may be much more damning on the club. I hope not.
In my place of work any such serious allegation would lead to immediate suspension on full pay, whilst allegations are investigated. Suspension does not imply guilt. It is simply a safeguarding matter. I have no idea why this could not be the standard protocol for all football clubs.
