Hetero and gay men typically reflect a distinct divide in terms of interests and behaviors. It makes sense that, having spent some time living on one side of that AMAB divide, trans women bring those differences with us when we transition.
My instinct here is that the differences between sapphic and hetero trans women reflect the same differences between the hetero and gay men that we spent part of our lives trying to be.

It's money, yes, but there's also another element. The right will warmly embrace anyone they think shares their hatred for the "woke left" regardless of past behavior. That is very flattering for fragile egos. The left, meanwhile, holds people accountable for their actions (as we should).
She accuses the left of creating an "oppression hierarchy" but that is classic right-wing projection. It is the RIGHT that insists on putting social groups into a hierarchy and having them compete for limited social capital. The left wants to level the playing field for all.

We have yet to see the Trump administration use state violence on a wide scale except for immigration. There's a lot of political capital built up for immigration enforcement that just doesn't exist for the widespread rounding up of trans people.

For what it's worth, I think the likelihood of state violence against trans people is still fairly low. I don't think we'll be rounded up anytime soon. It's non-state violence that we should be most worried about. All trans organizations and events should be extra vigilant in the coming weeks.
